Tri-stimulus theory of vision:
eyes perceive colour through stimulation of three visual pigments in cones of
pigment has peak sensitivity to red, the other green, the other blue.

Specification of colour is done as
RGB (or RGBA) in a VBO.Example:
colour [0.1f, 0.9f, 0.9f]T specifies
colour that emits 0.1 intensity red light, together with 0.9 intensity green
light and 0.9 intensity blue light. Can

refers to shades of grey, going from black to white. For grayscale, the red, green, and blue
components are equal.
