In the future, it might happen that intelligent machines will be able to perform better in every task than humans. We can say that they will surpass human intelligence. But if any intelligent machine gain some sort of consciousness and will to survive, it might start perceiving humans as competitors or threat and start an active fight against mankind.

The risks of this situation are manyfold: humans might not be aware when a machine gain consciousness,machine might be able to connect and control other machines responsible for the critical infrastructure and defense systems, machine might be able to replicate itself.
